Description This position is a member of the Sparks, GA Agricultural Products Supply Chain organization and is responsible for developing and maintaining production unit specific schedules for bulk production and packaging production that is in alignment with the Agricultural Products regional master schedule. The Planner will develop and maintain scheduling master data in SAP and will identify and communicate to the Demand Planners and the site all demand/supply imbalances and will coordinate all requests for schedule changes. The planner will monitor plant adherence to the schedules and will facilitate actions to improve. The Planner is also responsible for raw material coordination for assigned raw materials including establishing safety stocks, providing forecast, placing orders, and managing inventories. Job
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain production unit specific schedules for assigned plants and packaging units that align with the master schedule and allows for optimal plant efficiency. Maintain the planning boards in SAP, set-up and ensure the material masters for products are kept current, and verify accuracy of the production volumes loaded into SAP monthly. Identify and communicate to the RTP, NC Demand Planners all demand and supply imbalances, and coordinate all requests for schedule changes. Monitor Supply Chain key performance indicators and plant adherence to schedules, and facilitate actions to improve. Identify and lead Supply Chain optimization projects. Lead assigned internal and external non-conformances related to Supply Chain operations and planning. Coordinate external supplier non-conformances and work with external suppliers to improve supplier performance. Coordinate raw material requirements and supply for assigned raw materials including establishing safety stocks, providing forecasts, placing orders, and managing inventories. Maximize use of SAP in finite planning and raw material coordination processes. Manage dysfunctional inventory levels for assigned raw materials and finished goods. Serve as a liaison between site operations and the regional Demand Planners. Ensure finished goods and raw materials meet DOT, IMDG, IATA, FIFRA, and BASF regulatory requirements. Daily production posting of assigned products into SAP and reconciliation of inventory on a campaign and/or monthly basis. This position is not eligible for relocation assistance. Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent Required:
Minimum of 5 years experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain. Must have working knowledge of production planning and inventory management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and coordinate with the site, business, external suppliers, and corporate support groups. Strong analytical, organization, and teamworking skills. Demonstrated ability to identify, lead, and implement continuous improvement projects. Proficient with SAP and MS Office. Preferred:
APICS CPIM or CIRM certification or nearing completion desired. BA/BS Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field
