Description:
The Judge Group is seeking an experienced General Managerfor a large food manufacturing company in Nevada. The General Manager and President of theCompany is responsible for providing the overall direction of the organizationwithin the guidelines set up by the Board of Directors. The GeneralManager directs, plans and coordinates the operational activities at thehighest level of management with the help of subordinate executives and staffmanagers.
Responsibilities:
Preservesexisting sales and increase sales at an acceptable rate using skills tomotivate sales force with clear and concise objectives
Preservesmargins and increase EBITA through the management of operations and sales andcapital projects
Coordinatesand works with the CFO to meet financial objectives and control expenses
Maintainsall federal, state, county, and city requirements to run the company inaccordance with those requirements
Leadsexpansion plans for company growth as directed by the owner
Formulatesand provides budgeting guidance for the staff for annual budgets
Negotiatescommodity contracts using thorough knowledge of commodity pricing
Possessesa good knowledge of formulation and excels in product maintenance and development
Directsor coordinates an organization''s financial or budget activities to maximizeinvestments, fund operations and increase efficiency
Analyzesoperations to evaluate performance of a company or its staff in meetingobjectives or to determine areas of potential program improvement, costreduction or policy change
Conferswith organizational officials, board members and staff members to coordinateactivities, discuss issues and resolve problems
Plans,directs and implement objectives, policies and activities of organizations orbusinesses to ensure continuing operations, maximize returns on investments andincrease productivity
Directsand coordinates activities of businesses or departments concerned with pricing,production, sales and distribution of products
Negotiatesand approves contracts or agreements with distributors, suppliers, federal orstate agencies and other organizational entities
Directsthe Production Manager to meet objectives relating to operational activities
Possessessound knowledge of sanitation
Directsthe Operations Manager in his endeavor to meet objectives related to sanitarypractices and procedures and HACCP
Possessessound knowledge of plant mechanical systems
Directsthe Chief Plant Engineer if fulfilling his goals and objectives as needed forthe effective operation of the plant
Demonstratessound knowledge of shipping and warehousing to support and direct thewarehousing Manager in his efforts to meet the goals and objectives of hisdepartment
Protectsthe safety and welfare of all team members
Protectsthe safety of our products through adherence to proper food sanitation and foodsafety procedures
Enhancesour current standards to bring us in compliance with ISO 10000, worldwidestandards for operations of a company
Appointsdepartment heads or managers and assign/delegate responsibilities to them
Establishesdepartmental responsibilities and coordinates functions among departments andsites
Implementscorrective action plans to solve organizational or departmental problems
Demonstratesknowledge of production processes, raw materials, quality control and othertechniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing of goods
Conductstests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate qualityor performance
Requirements:
BS/BAdegree
15+years in a yeast dough plant/large commercial bakery (preferably infrozen dough)
Possess strong and proved dynamic and effective leadership
Possess a keen attention for details and precision
Produceefficient and measurable results
Has a thorough knowledge and understanding of all facets of foodsafety programs, including HACCP, ISO, SQF and FDA
Able to work closely, be able to follow directiveswith the owner who is oftentimes absent
Thoroughlyfamiliar with manufacturing software and the Microsoft product suite
Tobe computer literate with heavy emphasis on Access Databases and VicinitySoftware and Microsoft Great Plains Accounting
Salary: $150,000-$200,000Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
