Sr. Industrial Hygienist

Tesla is seeking a Senior Industrial Hygienist to manage health risks associated with battery cell, module and pack manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will use their technical expertise paired with leadership skills to drive engineering solutions upstream into Cell and Battery factory design, construction, commissioning, and production processes.
The candidate will serve as a key resource, working cross functionally to ensure evidence-based and best-practice safeguards are integrated into factory system, and that IH controls are designed for sustainable and accountable management long term.
While serving Tesla's mission, the Sr.
Industrial Hygienist will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental health and safety requirements, as well as conformance to internal EHS policies, standards and systems (e.
g.
, OSHA VPP, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001).
This role is based out of the Gigafactory Nevada facility located 20 miles East of Reno, Nevada, and is part of Tesla's Environmental Health, Safety and Security (EHS&S) team.
The EHS&S team supports all Tesla Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales/Service/Delivery functions in our shared mission to accelerate to a sustainable tomorrow by being safe, fair, and fun today.
The EHS&S team use human and organizational performance principles to foster an engaged, agile workforce who are focused on critical safeguard verification as well as innovative solutions to complex technical and organizational challenges.
We support Tesla's people and environment-focused decision making using actionable metrics, world-class resources, accountable partnerships, and exceptional talent.
Complete exposure assessments and industrial hygiene analyses for materials with and without consensus occupational exposure limits, reporting results to both engineering and operations audiences Provide problem solving support on the floor and in design reviews, working hand in hand with cross-functional teams to manage health, environment and operational risks Produce structured reports, training, and other written communications to share IH matters and engage the workforce, engineering and management teams Complete chemical safety reviews and risk assessments for existing and new products, processes, and equipment - work collaboratively with other EHS staff to ensure comprehensive management of change Determine appropriate levels of engineering, administrative, or PPE control for chemical, radiological, or noise concerns; verify control effectiveness and lead continuous improvement initiatives as appropriate Integrate IH work into the Gigafactory EHS Management System and overall industrial hygiene program, partnering with affected Tesla EHS team to ensure sustained success Assist with medical surveillance compliance, and manage third-party consultants, lab testing, purchase orders, and project budgets as needed Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Toxicology, Health Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, Occupational Health and Safety, or related Health discipline, or equivalent 5
years' experience as an industrial hygienist or IH-focused EHS professional in a manufacturing or facility design and construction setting In-depth knowledge of anticipation, identification, assessment, and control of chemical and physical hazards along with ability to engage the stakeholders critical to sustained IH risk management Experience designing or facilitating chemical or physical exposure controls through substitution or engineering methods, such as using ventilation, enclosures, damping, and process efficiencies Upper-level or expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and success using Occupational Health databases and applications Experience with operation of medical surveillance and related programs including respirator medical clearance, audiometry, and substance-specific examinations Capable of working in a construction and manufacturing environment on your feet with occasional stair and ladder climbing as well as occasional respirator and related PPE usage.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
