SCHEELS is currently seeking a Part Time Deli Associate for our Sparks, NV store. We are seeking individuals with daytime availability. This individual will quickly process accurate and efficient orders and sales transactions while providing excellent customer service by greeting and thanking customers and responding to their requests. This position will represent Scheels as a friendly, courteous and knowledgeable professional to all customers and fellow associates. Responsibilities Include: Responds promptly to customer needs, requests for service and assistance by providing customer service, greeting and acknowledging each customer, and being knowledgeable of store products and policies Prepare customer orders quickly and efficiently per their request, ability to adjust orders as needed Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions through registers to itemize and total customer purchases Collects payment in form of cash, check or credit from customers and able to provide accurate change when needed, and the transaction receipt Records daily transactions from cash register to balance drawer by counting money at the beginning and end of each shift Maintain safe, clean and orderly appearance of personal work space and surrounding areas Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth Other duties that may be assigned by supervisor, as needed Requirements: Excellent customer service and communication skills (written / verbal) Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and problem solving skills Ability to perform basic math; perform operations using units of currency, measurements and understanding percentages; compute rate, ratio and percent; draw and interpret bargraphs Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures. With or without accommodations, be able to sit, and/or stand, for extended periods of time. Use hands to process transactions and ability to communicate well with customers. Able to reach, balance, walk or crawl Able to lift or move up to 25 lbs. Ability to work assigned schedule which may include varied hours, evening, weekends, and holidays Education and
Experience: Ideal candidate will have one to three months of related experience or training Prior food service experience a plus, but not required Schedule: Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9am and 9pm, Monday through Saturday, 10am and 6pm, Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours; days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Average 15-24 hours a week.
